Sardis School Secondary Addition

studioHuB architects is currently working on a project definition report for the expansion of Sardis School Secondary.

The PDR, examines the most cost-effective method to accommodate the enrolment growth in the South Chilliwack area and the surrounding family of schools. The proposed addition to Sardis Secondary School is Project Priority No. 2 for Additions in the District’s 2021-2025 Five- Year Capital Plan.

The existing school is a 2-storey (1200 nominal capacity) grades 9-12 secondary school. This PDR examines adding 400 students bringing the school to a 1600 Nominal Capacity.

A 2-storey or 3-story option best addresses the limited available site area, while also ensuring sufficient space for parking, bus pick-up and drop-off, playfields and a future expansion, as well as respecting the required setbacks and Chilliwack City sharing Agreement. The addition will have a floor area of approximately 2,957 m2.
