Renovations
Renovations to existing facilities often have unique challenges such as older infrastructure, unforeseen conditions, hazardous materials, and construction and building materials that do not conform to current codes. We have extensive experience in renovations and have developed a matrix of questions and condition reports to minimize risks and optimize design opportunities.
Tenant Improvements
We have completed numerous tenant improvement projects as prime consultant leading a team of consultants and working closely with our clients to create functional and engaging spaces. Our team of architects and interior designers have expertise space planning, code review, and material finish and furniture selection.
Seismic Upgrades
Many of our renovation projects have required seismic upgrades. Whether the renovation involves speciality items or base building upgrades, our team has experience in retrofitting and upgrading facilities to create safe environments for the end user.
Pre-Fabricated Modular Construction
Pre-fabricated modular construction is leading the way in building efficiencies and cost savings – allowing for the provision of buildings to remote areas as well as solutions for short-term teaching spaces. studioHuB has become a leader in innovative modular classrooms and daycare design. We work closely with the fabricator collaborating on design details to create innovative learning spaces.
Facility Assessments + Long Range Facility Plans
Communities need safe places to learn, work, and play. As populations evolve and buildings age, facility assessments are a key tool for communities to maintain, update, and build new facilities. Our team has vast experience in preparing and coordinating core consultants in the preparation of facility assessments and has delivered LFRP’s to municipalities and school districts across British Columbia.
Public Consultations
Open dialogue and consultation are core to our studio’s philosophy. Our team has extensive experience in consultation, from school boards, neighbourhood community engagement, student engagement and teacher workshops, to sustainability workshops and public/private partnerships such as Neighbourhood of Learning Centres.
