Senior Intern Architect / Architect

At studioHub Architects, we believe our team members are our most important clients. We aim to provide a collaborative and flexible work environment where people can grow and achieve their professional goals while contributing to the overall success of our studio. Our young and growing office has recently been awarded some large and exciting projects, and we are looking to expand our team with the right person who would be looking to take on a leadership role on projects and as a mentor to those within the office.

We deliver a wide variety of projects across the province, emphasizing educational, institutional, cultural, indigenous and community projects. Clear functional design can positively impact the social and environmental landscape, and thoughtful design is crucial in delivering creative and innovative projects.

Our shared belief in listening, dialogue and engagement is core to our studio design process.  Our studio environment blurs the line between art, industrial design and design-build. We have an active artist studio and wood shop, and our team draws from a deep background in fine arts, architecture, film, woodworking and construction. Always looking to further our creative reach, we have regular design charets, in-office design competitions, sketching sessions and design reviews.

Job Description:
StudioHuB Architects is looking for a passionate individual with a minimum of 3-5 years of architectural experience in Canada, to enhance our studio. The ideal candidate would bring to the table:

- Passionate about architecture and design of public buildings/spaces
- Senior Intern Architect or Registered Architect in British Columbia (or ability to become registered)
- Have a strong design sensibility, as well as the technical abilities to translate design ideas into details
- The ability to see a project through from design inception to completion of construction

- Proficient in Revit, AutoCad, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion
- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Due to our growing portfolio in public safety buildings, experience with public safety buildings (RCMP, Firehalls) would be an asset

To further balance, we have incorporated a 37.5-hour workweek with flexible work hours. As an emerging firm, we offer opportunities for junior and intermediate people to grow within the firm, develop leadership skills, and run projects.

Salary Range:
$75,000-95,000, based on background and experience.

Junior Office Admin

We are seeking a junior office admin for a full-time, in-person position.
You will work directly under the supervision of our office manager, assisting the team in the office's day-to-day operations.

Work will be assigned based on ability and growth and will include:

  • Administrative assistance: answering phones, organizing couriers, assisting in Quickbooks logging of expenses, invoicing, payroll

  • Team support services: ordering/pick up of supplies (office as well as day-to-day), booking tickets and flights

  • Event organization: birthdays, office outings, lunch and learn coordination, client meetings

  • Services coordination: oversee and coordinate office cleaners, waste pickup, internet and phone

  • experience with Adobe Suite programs will be considered an asset, and if the successful candidate has these skills, one could also be asked to assist in putting together reports and presentations

Ideally, we would be looking for someone to start in the middle of April 2025.
