George Pringle Secondary School

studioHuB architects is currently in the final stages of construction documentation for George Pringle Secondary School.

In addition to the regular secondary school programming, the 1200 students, 11,900 sm school features a black box theatre, a large Indigenous Space with wood features, as well as three large shops.

The school has been designed in a way that specific areas can be used by the community securely, such as the Gymnasium, the Theatre, Multipurpose Space with Learning Stairs, Learning Commons, and the Indigenous Spaces.

The design features numerous 21st century learning spaces, including small breakout rooms, support spaces, and flex spaces for collaboration and socializing.

There are numerous indoor-outdoor relationships between learning spaces and the site, as well as various outdoor learning spaces.

The site features two full size fields, as well as a stand-alone new childcare facility for 36 children.

The design is part of a design build competition, studioHuB architects teamed up with Clark Builders for the successful pursuit phase and construction.
